Expansion of our facilities and operations

Interspersal is pleased to announce that we have broken ground on an expansion of our facilities and operations to better serve our customers.  When completed, this will enable us to consolidate warehousing, manufacturing, QC, and blending/tolling services into one location, eliminating third-party warehousing and production sites, and reducing logistics costs.

The first phase of the expansion is a new state-of-the-art warehousing facility for both finished and in-process goods.   By consolidating our warehousing we will be able to more efficiently expedite orders as well as free up manufacturing space in our existing production site.  The new warehouse will be able to house solids and liquids in a climate-controlled and energy-efficient design.  It will also implement a new inventory control system to help ensure accurate order processing and increased efficiency.

Our current production facility is capable of mixing both powders and liquids.   Powders are mixed in our four ribbon blenders ranging in size from 25 kg to 1000 kg, and roto-sieves provide the ability to control particle size as well as to package into custom weight and inclusion bags.   Liquid systems include six 4000-gallon bulk tanks; three 2000-gallon mixers, two sand mills (one small batch and one large batch), one ball mill, and a segregated building for silicone processing and drying.

With the second phase of the expansion, we will be adding more new equipment, including computer-controlled liquid and solid blending/mixing equipment and chemical reactors for expanded production.  This will enable us to increase efficiency as well as introduce additional new products and services.
